Using bubbles to discover Pi
Last week we explored Pi using bubble analysis. Students blew bubbles onto the black lab tables and when they popped, used the circle outline to measure circumference and diameter. They ran some calculations with the numbers (c+d, c-d), c x d, c/d) and looked for patterns in the data. How do we get pi = 3.14? c/d!
